Bulldog Facts:

The Bulldog Club, founded in England in 1875, was the first breed club for ANY breed of dog!

"It's all about the dog!"

The Adoreabull Bitches

Every breeder has their philosophy about the contribution of the stud dog verses the contribution of the bitch in producing each litter. A prepotent example of either sex will stamp themselves upon the next generation, and it is the high quality, prepotent animal - dog or bitch - that is the most valuable asset to a breeding program, in our minds.

At the very least, bitches in a breeding program should be of sufficient quality to be shown, even if they never actually get into the ring. Unless a very prepotent sire is used, you will never get great pups from mediocre bitches, and even if you do it is unlikely THOSE pups will throw great pups.

Every litter is an experiment. Some experiments give the desired results, some give unexpected results, but all produce puppies that we as the breeder assume responsibility for. Once an Adoreabull puppy, always an adoreabull puppy, and it is our greatest pleasure when our owners keep in contact with us over the years.

Our foundation bitch, Barlee's Troubull Bruin, was a solid, cobby girl, and we continue to see that look in Genesis, Pheonix, and Karma. Our outside bitch Calypso has a bit more length, as do Star and Victory. Victory is young yet, but looks to have a lovely roach with appropriate length. The most prepotent bitch we have ever had was Ch. Barnhart's Adoreabull Blue, a girl we bought that was produced by one of our sold puppy bitches, so I consider her from our bloodlines, especially since we made the recommendation the owners use Scout to stud! Blue produced quality with consistency, as shown by her current offspring in our breeding program - Cru, Star, Pheonix, and Genesis. So far Cru has been as prepotent in passing on his traits, especially in his bitch puppies.

WOW about sums this girl up. Substance, bone, movement and style. Victory finished in three short weeks of showing, and makes her father Crusader proud. She is also his spitting image, without being doggy.
